U.S. Senate The U.S. Senate is one half of the federal government’s legislative branch. It consists of 100 members, two coming from each of the 50 states. Senators serve a six-year term. Tammy Baldwin Ron Johnson U.S. Representative District 7 Members of the House of Representatives serve two-year terms in the U.S. Congress and are considered for reelection every even year. District 7 is located in northern and west central Wisconsin. Tom Tiffany Governor The governor is the state's chief executive. Voters elect the governor and lieutenant governor on a joint ballot to a four-year term. Tony Evers Lieutenant Governor The Lieutenant Governor is the second ranking officer of the executive branch and the first officer in line to succeed the Governor. The Lieutenant Governor is popularly elected every four years by a plurality and has no term limit. He or she provides legal advice and representation for all state agencies and serves a four-year term. Josh Kaul Secretary of State The Secretary of State keeps a record of all official acts of the legislature and executive department of the state. He or she serves a four-year term. Doug La Follette State Treasurer The treasurer is responsible for sitting on the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, providing services to promote the unclaimed property program, and making certified copies of deeds, bonds, and documents filed in the treasurer's office. Since 1995, the duties of the state treasurer have gradually been eliminated or shifted to other state agencies. In April, 2018, voters rejected an amendment to eliminate the office, voting to keep the position of state treasurer. The Senate consists of 33 members elected from districts throughout the state. Senators serve four-year terms. District 23 is located in West Central Wisconsin. Jerry Petrowski, current Cory Tomczyk, elect 2023 Assembly District 69 The Wisconsin State Assembly is one half of the state government's legislative branch. The Assembly consists of 99 members who serve two-year terms elected from districts throughout the state, with each district represented in proportion to its population. District 69 is located in west central Wisconsin. Donna M. Rozar Assembly District 70 The Wisconsin State Assembly is one half of the state government's legislative branch. The Assembly consists of 99 members who serve two-year terms elected from districts throughout the state, with each district represented in proportion to its population. District 70 is located in west central Wisconsin. Nancy Lynn VanderMeer Assembly District 86 The Wisconsin State Assembly is one half of the state government's legislative branch. The Assembly consists of 99 members who serve two-year terms elected from districts throughout the state, with each district represented in proportion to its population.
