Marshfield's excellent quality-of-life has earned our community the ranking of 5th out of 126 small towns and cities across the nation by Forbes Magazine. Communities with populations under 100,000 were ranked on the following five measures:
- Short commute times
- Educational outcomes
- Median household income
- Rate of home ownership
- Housing affordability
Marshfield/Wood County was also ranked as 20th best dream town.
